Cats and Dogs
This exhibition celebrated humanity’s most beloved companions through sculpture, video, painting, photography, and ancient artifacts. It explored the complex relationships between humans, dogs, and cats, from affectionate and lighthearted connections to more unsettling and mysterious perspectives.
The exhibition design transformed animal characteristics and our perceptions of them into playful spatial elements that shaped movement and interaction. A double entrance asked visitors, “Are you a cat person or a dog person?” The cat side featured cats in unexpected places and offered elevated viewpoints, including a small “tree” visitors could climb to see the exhibition from a cat’s perspective. The dog side offered a contrasting experience—grounded, slower, and side by side.
